Work on eKran has started – our new e-learning for cranes and overhead cranes on the way

Published 29 May 2026
We are pleased to announce that work on eKran – our new e-learning for cranes and overhead travelling cranes – has now started.

After the success of our award-winning e-training courses in lifting, forklift and fall protection, we are taking the next step: to offer modern, digital training for crane operators and load handlers.

A NATURAL NEXT STEP IN CRANE TRAINING

We have extensive experience in training instructors in cranes and overhead travelling cranes. Our crane instructor training provides the knowledge and skills required to train crane operators and load handlers in a safe and professional manner – in accordance with international standards such as SS‑ISO 9926‑1 and SS‑ISO 23853.

We are now developing a digital learning tool – eKran – that will serve as a powerful support for instructors and at the same time meet today’s increasing demand for flexible online crane training.

Our valued course material in book form will of course remain. With eKran, we complement the existing offering and offer trainers and participants a combination of classic material and modern e-learning.

This is why we are investing in e-learning in cranes and overhead cranes

More and more companies and training participants are today demanding digital training for crane operators. There are good reasons for this.

In a traditional class, the participants’ prior knowledge can vary greatly – from experienced operators to completely new to the profession. At the same time, everyone is expected to absorb the teaching at the same pace.

This is where e-learning makes a difference.

With a well-designed e-learning, each participant can:

  • Learn at their own pace
  • Repeat elements when necessary
  • Have the content adapted to their learning style
  • Combine theory with practical elements in an effective way

This not only results in better learning – but also in shorter training time and lower costs.

eKran – developed for reality

When we develop eKran, we build on what has made our previous e-learning courses successful internationally. Our e-learning courses in lifts, trucks and fall protection have won several of the world’s most prestigious awards in innovation, design and pedagogy – and eKran will maintain the same high level.

The focus of eKran is:

  • Safe handling of cranes and lifting equipment
  • Risk awareness and the right attitude at work
  • Clear connection between theory and practice
  • Engaging content that activates the participant

We place particular emphasis on creating e-learning that not only informs – but really changes behavior and increases safety.

Safety at the center

Working with overhead cranes, column jib cranes and hoists always involves risks. Incorrect handling can lead to serious accidents, such as falling goods or crushing injuries.

Therefore, the right training is crucial.

With eKran we want to contribute to:

  • Increased safety in the workplace
  • Reduced risk of personal injury and material damage
  • Higher competence among crane operators and load couplers

We start from real situations and help the participant understand the risks – and how they are avoided in practice.

Benefits for the entire training chain

A modern e-learning like eKran creates value for everyone:

For companies and clients:

  • More effective training
  • Less production losses
  • Lower costs

For instructors:

  • Better prepared participants
  • Opportunity to focus on practical aspects and safety culture
  • Support in follow-up and quality assurance

For students:

  • Flexibility and own pace
  • A more engaging and accessible training
  • Better conditions for success

On the way to launch

Work on eKran is now in full swing, and the ambition is clear: to create one of the market’s most qualitative and effective e-training courses for cranes and overhead cranes.

We look forward to soon being able to offer a solution that strengthens both instructors, companies and crane operators – and that contributes to safer workplaces.
