The Red Dot Design Award is an international design award for excellent form. It is awarded annually by the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen in Germany. The award is sometimes called the “Nobel Prize in Design”.
The competition is divided into three main categories, the Red Dot Award: Product Design, the Red Dot Award: Brands & Communication Design and the Red Dot Award: Design Concept.
Every year, more than 20,000 design projects from over 70 different countries participate. The winners are selected by a jury consisting of 24 design and communication experts from 12 different countries.
