Updated version of eTruck for France

9/23/2019

French eTruck soon to be released in a version adapted to CACESĀ® R.485 and R.489

First of January 2020 a new version of CACES® regulations for education of lift truck operators become operational. The new version among other changes include new categorisations of certain lift truck types. eTruck will be released in a new adapted version well before the new standard is launched.

More info regarding CACES®
A way of validating a safe lift truck operator, is to pass the CACES® (Certificat d’Aptitude à la Conduite en Sécurité) Driving Certificate for lift trucks. The CACES certificates are valid for five years. Drivers will have to update their knowledge and repeat the test according to this periodicity.

The CACES is a CNAM (Caisse Nationale d’Assurance Maladie) recommendation and it is a good way for the employer to ensure that the operator has the know-how and knowledge required for the issuance of a certificate to operate a lift truck.
